EASTER 2009

Saturday morning we went to the Eggs Hunt in Centerville. Russ and Jaxon went together and me and the girls went to there age group. When the siren blared Brynn got scared and threw herself on the ground and started crying. I picked up what little eggs were left at that point and gave them to her. She chucked them and said she didn't want them. Jaxon made a haul. He got a ton of eggs. Avery got one egg and was happy as can be. Saturday night our family dyed Easter Eggs. The kids absolutely loved it. I only boiled a dozen and ended up boiling a dozen more because they were enjoying it so much. Sunday morning the kids got there baskets. I had to sneak Brynns out when she was sleeping. She had been carrying that darn thing around for three days prior. They were surprised with what the Easter Bunny had brought them. Then the kids found the eggs that they had dyed the night before. We then got ready for church and Brynn had to take her new Dora kite with her into church. I tried to take it away but couldn't deal with the crying that would have gone all throughout church, so I let her take it in. After church we went out to my sister-in-laws house for another Egg Hunt and dinner. The kids then went to the park and played until it got dark. It was a fun filled, exhausting day!

It was just a matter of time.....

We all know of someone or maybe even did it ourselves when we were little or maybe recently. That's right you guessed it, or maybe the picture gave it away, a HAIRCUT not just any haircut but a scalping in some parts. If you can get past the painted face you can see the beautiful job that Brynn did. Brynn and I were painting with her watercolors and she asked me to paint her face. This is what it ended up looking like. Then about a half hour later while me, Russ and Jaxon were watching General Conference on Saturday Brynn decided to give herself a haircut. She came downstairs and said "Look Mommy yucky", as she holds out a handful of hair. First thought before looking up was maybe she got into my round brush or something disgusting, then I looked up and saw the scalping. I was not mad at her, only myself for not putting the scissors up higher and for the fact that she doesn't have a whole lot of hair and so every strand is precious. I went upstairs to see where her little curls lay. There they were on the bathroom floor. I had to document "her" first haircut. Now we are doing the comb over for awhile. Like my sister-in-law Megan (a hairstylist) said, "I've seen worse". It was only a matter of time before she did this. I cut mine and my brother Kyle's when we were little. I am so glad Avery was sleeping. She too could have had this beautimus hairdo. It grows back, right? No worries just creativity on how to style it now!

Strep Throat and Pinewood Derby

Strep

What do these two things have to do with another? Absolutely nothing, that is just what has been going on in our house this past month. We think the Strep started with Avery, then, Brynn, Jaxon, and then last but not least me. Russ was on Antibiotics before this all started so I think he dodged it all. We hope that it doesn't recirculate through the house again. I think that once one person is diagnosed with it, it should be mandatory that the rest of the household automatically start take anitbiotics for it. What do you think?

Pinewood Derby

Jaxon and Russ have been working on there car for about 2 weeks and last night was the Race. Jaxon placed 1st in his Wolf den. He was really close to getting in the top three but didn't quite make it. Jaxon had a lot of fun. I think Russ may have had even more fun.

Complaint

Ok, so I just have to say that I have never made an official complaint for bad service, but I did today. I went into Dollar Tree and was treated very rude by this worker. To make a long story short, I called there customer service number and of course, had to leave a message, but nonetheless I let them know what had happened. Then I went over to Roberts and Brynn peed on there floor (as you can tell the potty training isn't going so well) and they were so kind and understood things like this happen. I was the one to clean it up of course, but they were nice about it. I love Roberts!

The Family

So, Brynn still loves Dora and would watch it all day if I let her. She is so independent and we are trying to Potty Train. She does ok. Avery is climbing up and down the stair really well. She will sometime stand on her own. She is so much fun. Jaxon has started basketball and is doing well. He had a couple of days off for Martin Luther King Day, and loved that. We went to the park and the dentist on our days off. Everything is slowly returning to normal, after all the sickness going around! Russ is still hobbling around with his two hurt ankles. I am babysitting on Mondays and Wednesdays. Life is busy, crazy!

Heres some pictures of the Pinewood Derby and others.

Happy New Year

The last time I posted was before Christmas. So I am going to do a slideshow of my pictures because there are far too many. My parents and my Grandma Foutz came for Christmas. On Christmas Eve we did our traditional dinner and the boys did there treasure hunt with the nativity people and also put on a puppet show about the nativity. The boys played the Ukele and Piano. We had a surprise visit from Santa while playing a game. The kids loved it (ok, Brynn was a little terrified). Jaxon couldn't sleep and of course got up early. Brynn didn't even know what was going on. She loved her dollhouse (Thanks Wendy!) she could of cared less about all the other presents. She actually opened them the next day. Thats how much she cared. Avery was sick and went back to bed. We went sledding and to the movies over the next few days. It was very relaxing and fun visiting with my family. The next week Russ had surgery on his other ankle and then we went up to Nampa, ID to Russ' moms house for the New Year. Russ brother, Chad and Family went up also. Russ sister and Family live in Boise, so we got to see them also. We pretty much hung out the entire week, went swimming, went shopping and played my new favorite game "BLOCKUS". We all were sick except Jaxon. Then Sunday he got sick and missed the first two days of school. So there you have it in a nutshell. Here are the pictures! Happy New Year! And no I don't make New Years Resolutions. I just try and make goals throughout the year that I know I can accomplish like, getting dressed that day. You all know!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

The Wildthing’s Year of 2008

It has been an eventful year. We truly have been blessed and have had many wonderful experiences this year. We are so very grateful for the power of prayer and for a loving Heavenly Father. This time of year is always so humbling and we are grateful to be able to focus on Christ and all that he has sacrificed for each of us. We are also thankful for wonderful family and friends! Here is a little bit about each of our family members and what has happened with them throughout this wonderful Year of 2008!

Russ- Still a Risk Manager at Strategic Staffing (or now called BBSI). Russ is still working with the Priest in our ward. He loves this calling. Russ got to go and help out for a week at the Stake Priest Encampment (or as he called it “Man Camp”.) Russ went on his yearly backpacking trip with his cousins to the Sawtooths. He had surgery on his ankle that he broke a few years back to remove the pins and will be having surgery on the other ankle the end of December to remove bone chips.

Amber- Staying at home with the three kids. Loving it most of the time. Enrichment Leader for the ward. Is keeping busy every month with that. Joined a Stamp Club. Love’s getting a night out by herself to do what she loves! Just starting watching a 3 month little girl two days a week. Crazy? Yes, I am!

Jaxon- Is 8 years old and attending the 3rd Grade at Jenny P Stewart. Plays the piano, soccer, and did archery and tennis this summer. Had surgery in August to clean up a ruptured appendix. Stayed in the hospital for over a week. Glad to be able to jump on the trampoline again. Loves to spend his time at home, with his family, and playing with his toys. Absolutely, the BEST big brother anyone could ask for!

Brynn- Were do we start? Let’s just say she is very busy, messy and TWO. She is full of cuteness, though! She keeps our family laughing and very tired from chasing and cleaning up after her. She loves her brother and sister, most of the time. Loves to play dress up and spend time with her cousins.

Avery- 9 months old. She has the best smile. Avery is very easy going, but is very busy as well! She is crawling everywhere especially up the stairs. She says “Da Da” and “Ah-Oh.” She loves her dad, and I guess the rest of the family. As everyone knows she was born with three holes in her heart and they are officially closed up. What a miracle! She has brought so much love into our home!
